Music license terms : v1.0-draft

Draft terms. Not yet reviewed by counsel. Wording may change before client-facing use.

These terms govern every use of music from the Maker Breaker library. Creating an account, streaming, downloading, or using any recording means you accept them. A per-track license certificate naming you as licensee is available from each track's download menu.

What you may do

  • Maker Breaker grants the licensee a non-exclusive, worldwide license to synchronize this recording with audiovisual productions (film, series, short-form video, trailers, promos, podcasts, and similar works) and to distribute those productions on any platform.
  • The license covers the Full and Instrumental versions and any stems delivered for this track.

What you may not do

  • The music itself may not be resold, sublicensed, redistributed, or made available on a standalone basis, in whole or in part, including in sample packs, music libraries, or streaming releases.
  • The licensee may not register the recording, or any production containing it in a way that claims the music, with any content identification or rights management system (for example YouTube Content ID).
  • The recording may not be used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine learning or generative audio systems.

Ownership and scope

  • Ownership of the composition and the master recording remains with Maker Breaker at all times. This license transfers no ownership.
  • Watermarked preview files are for internal review and client approval only and may not appear in published work.
  • The license is granted to the named licensee and their production, is non-transferable, and remains valid for published productions in perpetuity unless the license was obtained in breach of these terms.

Accounts

Access is by invitation. Editor accounts may download clean masters and stems for production work. Client accounts receive watermarked previews for review and approval; final clean files are delivered by Maker Breaker on approval. Deactivated accounts lose access to the library, but licenses already granted for published productions survive.
